Shoes on the Palmetto Expressway

Shoes have been involved in a lot of crazy things here lately.  A couple of weeks ago shoes where launched at Bush as he ducked and dodged like a pro dodge ball player. Now you have all types of shoes like work boots, slippers, sneakers and sandals — thousands of them — littered Friday morning across both lanes of the Palmetto Expressway near Miller Drive.

Santangelo spent Friday morning driving through Little Haiti, searching for a charitable organization that would want to donate the used shoes to impoverished Haitian residents who are still suffering from the aftermath of the 2008 hurricane season.

That would be a good outcome if all this shoes were donated for a good cause. I’m sure the Haitian residents would greatly appreciate it.[miamiherald]
